As a parent with kids in elementary, junior, and high schools, Blake can see what RISD is doing at every level. Also, each of his children is different, spanning segments of creativity, athletics, technical, advanced placement, and special education. As such, Blake understands that each child has unique needs and deserves tailored challenges to thrive. Together, we can equip them with the proven strategies they need to build resilience and achieve their growth goals! Blake is passionate about their success at every stage, to enrich our neighborhoods and open up incredible opportunities for our children.
Steward our resources responsibly
This past fall, voters passed a $1.4 billion bond aimed at improving our schools and preparing them for the next 50 years. With this recent bond, compounded by our expanding annual budget, RISD must have leadership that can responsibly manage the resources entrusted by the community. As your trustee, Blake will ensure we effectively manage resources so that every dollar of the community's investment is utilized to its fullest potential. Transparent and diligent fiscal stewardship will not only help RISD build sustainable resources for our students but also build trust between our district and our community.

Blake has consistently advocated for increased community engagement and transparency. As your Trustee, he will ensure that RISD actively listens to our needs and invests in our neighborhoods.
Empower and support our teachers and staff
By being active in our district, Blake has had the opportunity to meet so many amazing educators and staff who truly have a heart for students! From teachers and therapists showing students what is possible in special educational classrooms, to magnet teachers helping prepare our students for the future that awaits them, to AVID teachers casting a vision for a first-generation high school graduate, he is inspired by their dedication. Every teacher joins this profession out of a passion for helping students, and together, we can empower them to succeed! By supporting them with the right resources and proven curricula, Blake can make this district the ultimate destination for the best teachers!
